The town lies 15 km eastward of the Ruzomberok town at the north border of the Low Tatras mountains. It´s name originates from a spring Lupcianka which flows across the town. Lupca is one of the oldest part of Liptov district. We recommend two good tips for modest trips from Lupca. The destination of the first tip is Besenova thermal baths. The second one is a popular recreation area Liptovska Mara water-reservoir, distant only 7 km.
